I'm a user-experience-focused Android and web developer. My job is to translate client's unique needs into a functional and user friendly computer program. As such, my work lies in the intersection between clients' vision and the realization of it. People who do what I do is sometimes called programmers, software engineers, and full-stack developer.

I write HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, and SQL to power Web application while for Android, I write Java, Python, and XML. In order to be skillful in this vast area of development field, I started teaching myself how to code while still in high school. After two years, I took my first ever client.

I hold myself to high standards because I understand the value of the investment you make in me. Therefore, my work, by default, is:

User experience focused. I take a user-first approach to developing web and Android applications, placing a strong emphasis on creating intuitive and enjoyable user interfaces. By understanding users' needs and behaviors, I ensure that the applications I build are optimized for a seamless and engaging user experience.

Collaborative in nature. I actively involve clients in the design process before the actual development commences, ensuring their vision is aligned with the project's direction from the outset. Fostering open communication and collaboration is something that is very important to me.

Standards-compliant. I adhere to industry best practices and coding standards, ensuring that the software I develop meets high-quality and security standards. By following established guidelines, I create reliable and maintainable code that is compatible with intended platforms and environments.

Marked-up codes. I write organized and fully commented codes, providing clear and detailed explanations for the purpose and functionality of each section. This practice ensures that other developers, even clients can easily understand and work with the codebase, promoting effective teamwork and collaboration.

Result-oriented. Nothing is more important than achieving the result envisioned by the client. I approach each project with a focus on outcomes and client satisfaction. By setting clear objectives and goals, I work diligently to deliver software solutions that not only meet functional requirements but also drive value and success for the client.

Tested. Each product was tested across the platform it was designed to occupy, ensuring its performance, functionality, and compatibility. Through comprehensive testing, I identify and address any issues or bugs, delivering robust and reliable applications that users can trust and rely on.

I have worked with clients in various sectors locally and internationally, they range from:

Education. Designed a secure offline admission exam system to avoid cheating that can't be easily apprehended when connected to the internet, where students take tests on their Android phones. And where administrators manage the questions, results, and student information in a web application running on a laptop that acts as the server. This works by connecting the Android device and the laptop server to a same network, enabling offline communication.

Hospitality and Foodservice. Created a streamlined restaurant management application for a small business, optimizing inventory tracking, order management, reservations, and customer feedback. The web-based platform enables the crew to efficiently handle operations and elevate customer experiences.

Rental and Leasing. Developed a comprehensive rental monitoring platform that enhances tenant-landlord interactions. The Android app empowers tenants with easy access to monitoring their upcoming/due payments, while landlords efficiently manage properties, inquiries, and concerns through a user-friendly web application powered by Google Realtime Firebase.

Travel and Tourism. Crafted a dynamic tourist spots locator for Isabela Province, PH. The Android application, leveraging Google Maps API, showcases stunning satellite views and essential features like directions, pinning, and provincial boundary demarcation.

I love programming, and I love leveraging the possibilities of it to anyone. I was 9 years old when I first met a computer, and 12 when I learned that I could have the skill to talk to it, to instruct it what to do, and to create a new something out of it. I am 21 now, still young for the average lifespan standpoint, but I am confident that I already have the skill.

If you or your company is looking for someone to translate your vision into a working computer program, I would love to help.

In the spirit of honesty and transparency, let me share a few reasons why hiring me might not be the best fit for your needs at this moment. You are...

In the market for an iOS Developer. While I do take on projects that concern mobile development, my current skillset does not encompass iOS applications.

In need immediate availability for a full-time position. While I appreciate of you considering me, as an independent developer, my current commitments might limit my availability for a full-time role. However, I am open to discussing part-time or project-based collaborations.

Seeking a large development team for extensive projects. As a solo developer, my capacity might not suit large-scale projects that demand a larger team. However, I can collaborate with other professionals if needed.

Requiring a physical presence for an on-site work. Being an independent programmer, my work setup is primarily remote. If on-site presence is crucial, it might not align with my current working style.

If you are still reading up to here, I would love to hear from you and the project you are working on. Drop me a mail at hello@nephibarrera.com. The more information you include, the more comprehensive my response will be. I read emails every morning, and you can expect to hear from me in 1-3 days. I look forward to hearing from you.🤗
