I shed a lot of hair because of stress this year. But I did gain a lot more – skills, experience, and people. 2023 was a busy year. I finished my On-The-Job Training, moved apartments two times, finished a handful of programming contracts, bought a Mac Mini M2, returned it in favor of a Lenovo Legion R7 2022, turned 22, and realized that it has been a year since I started living independently.

This year taught me something about balance…, that it is the key to being productive. Just like how an eight-hour sleep brings you to the state of super productivity for the next 8 hours of waking up, vacation does the same with your mentality. Because being a freelance programmer is being at a constant pressure to be competitive, especially how the market gets more and more saturated nowadays. So, although expensive and does not hold any advancement to my career-relevant skills, I vacationed twice this year.
